A Circuit Principle and Simulation Test for Negative Group Delay

چکیده
Abstract Group velocity superluminal phenomenon, also known as negative group delay or refers to a of envelope signal at the output end medium before input, in time axis, is leave appears entering medium, but this does not violate causality. Based on waveguide theory delay, paper uses transfer function, amplitude response and phase shift electronic circuit control velocity, introduces three first-order bandpass amplifier RC circuits low frequency band, which realize positive filtering functions respectively. Finally, phenomenon preliminarily realized by using simulation software, lays foundation for subsequent research. As an that can carry transmit information, study great significance improvement transmission efficiency.

We present a simple electronic circuit which provides negative group delays for band-limited, base-band pulses. It is shown that large time advancement comparable to the pulse width can be achieved with appropriate cascading of negative-delay circuits but eventually the out-of-band gain limits the number of cascading. The relations to superluminality and causality are also discussed.
